HEALING WATER
If the following doesn’t surprise you nothing will. Did you know
that there is a group of medical researchers that now believe many chronic
disorders are caused just by not drinking the right amount of water? That's
right, problems like hypertension, back problems, asthma, peptic ulcer,
heartburn, allergies, arthritis, and maybe even Alzheimer's, and this
is not a complete list.
Remember that old rule, "drink 8 glasses of water a day", well
guess what, that's the next dietary rule.
Why? you may ask, I seem to be doing just fine on my 8 cups of coffee
and that adds up to 8 glasses of water a day.
Sorry!
Tea, coffee, or any other drinks do not count. It has to be plain, clean,
water. Anything that you drink besides plain clean water has something
in it that has to be processed by the body. All chemicals processed by
the body require the body to use water to do the conversion. In many cases,
like coffee, the body uses up most of the water processing the coffee.
1. The cost of not drinking plain clean water.
In the book "Your Body's Many Cries for Water" by Batmanghelidj,
MD. Dr. Batmanghelidj says that a very large number of "diseases"
are caused just by not drinking water. He sights all types of problems;
chronic back problems, knee problems, hypertension, asthma, peptic ulcer,
allergies, and arthritis just to mention a few. As an example he states
that "fully 75 percent the weight of the upper part of the body is
supported by the water volume that is stored in the disc core (of the
back: the fibrous materials around the disc support 25 percent)."
If the disc core becomes dehydrated the discs in the back shrink and two
discs start to grind together eventually causing serious damage to the
lower back.
He claims to have cured over 3000 cases of peptic ulcers and heartburn
with nothing more than water. He says that research on the stomach shows
that if you drink a glass of water, that water is immediately absorbed
into the blood stream. Then with-in twenty minutes of that absorption,
the water reappears in the stomach lining in the form of mucus. This mucus
is critical to protect the stomach lining from all the acid in the stomach.
By drinking lots of plain clean water the stomach lining is kept coated
with mucus. With the stomach no longer being burnt by the stomach acid
the body heals the ulcer on it's own. It was the lack of adequate water
that caused the ulcer in the first place. It does not matter how much
acid is in the stomach or how over active the stomach acid is, as long
as the stomach is kept coated.
2. Waters toxin connection
What would happen if you never changed the bag in your vacuum cleaner?
Well first it wouldn't take long before it wasn't picking up dirt very
well and then if you just kept using it there would come a point where
it would burn up the motor and you would have a dead vacuum cleaner. The
exact same principles apply to your body. We are exposed to hundreds if
not thousands of toxins on a daily basis. Pesticides, fungicides, insecticides,
herbicides, preservatives, medical drugs, street drugs, chlorinated water,
toiletries, perfumes, dyes, metals from piping, cookware, carbon monoxide,
and refined sugars just to mention a few.
Just like the vacuum cleaner these toxins get pulled into our bodies and
start building up in our cells and tissues. The more they build up, the
more they interfere with the functioning of our cells. But our bodies
are not stupid and work hard to clean these toxins out. But if there’s
not adequate water to wash them out the toxins are just reabsorbed. The
number one and best way to stop this is with water.
It should be very obvious by now that 6 to 8 glasses of plain clean water
are critical for you to maintain your wellness.
OK! I hear you groaning, well stop! It is not that bad. I promise you,
if you will stick to the strategy below for three weeks you will not only
be pleasantly surprised at how easy it will become, you will feel much
better too.
STRATEGY
The best time to drink plain clean water is around meals.
Upon rising in the morning drink an 8-oz glass of water.
Twenty to Thirty minutes before breakfast, lunch and diner drink an 8-oz
glass of water.
Two and one half-hours after each meal drink an 8-oz glass of water.
