The Tony Marcel Experiment How the experiment works. There are two types of words, related and unrelated, and two conditions: visable and subliminal (words only the brain can see). Step 1 The test person, called the subject, sits at a computer monitor as three words are flashed on the screen 1.5 seconds apart. As soon as the subject CONSCIOUSLY understands the meaning of the last word, wrist, the subject presses a key, and the computer markes down how long it took for the subject to understand the meaning. In the case above it took the subject ~0.492sec. to push the key. This is very quick because the middle related word gives the subject a clue as to the meaning of the last word.
