Unrelated words.
We will repeat what we did above but this time the middle word tree will be unrelated to the last word, wrist.
In dozens of tests when the last word was unrelated to the middle word it took the subject longer ~0.521 sec. Versus ~0.492 to understand the meaning of the last word.

Unrelated words take longer to get their meaning.
This ends the visable condition, and should help you get a feel for how the experiment will be run. We will now show the Subliminal condition.
